“Living alone during the pandemic has been one of the most challenging things I have ever dealt with. Running became something I had to do everyday to take care of my physical and mental health. I had a streak of over 80 days and every run helped me to cope with being so isolated during those times. It’s also helped me find my voice. I lost my cousin Eric Garner in 2014 to police brutality and wanted to keep his name alive. I found that the run community was open to runs that had meaning. Building a sense of community through running has become a passion of mine.” @jayfuf15
