How often do you compare yourself to things you see on here? 🙋🏻‍♀️
Whether it’s based on looks, work progression, life achievements or how you think you should be feeling it can be so easy to look on here and feel you are failing.
You’re not. You’re looking at the good bits the parts people want to show. You don’t know what is going on behind the scenes so please don’t compare based on a highlight reel.
Also I mentioned in it my stories before but make sure to always remember what YOUR goals are, what are YOU wanting to be doing? Just because someone else is doing something one way doesn’t mean you have to or even want to. I’m often catching myself in this trap when I see others in my industry smashing it, feeling like I need to be as well. Then I take a moment and remember that’s their goal not mine.
Instead of comparing to others, celebrate their achievements and also celebrate your own. Your worth and your own success is not something to be tallied against others. You stand in your own right.
So the next time you find yourself in the comparison rabbit hole:
Stop scrolling
Take a moment
Remember your values, who you are, your goals
Remember it’s a highlight real
Do something to make yourself feel good
