01DOGG01's video: WOT 8 11 - SPG Shell Bug

@WOT 8.11 - SPG Shell Bug
Shells burst in the sky, as if there were an obstacle there. Or they land far outside the reticle, even when it is fully aimed in. Speculative Causes: *WG lowered the 'ceiling' on levels to 'optimise'. *WG 'optimised' algorithms by not calculating shell trajectories above a certain height. "Working as intended" UPDATE 1: Regarding the artillery shells flying outside of the aim circle bug: "For starters, I will fix the bug, where shell trajectory is displayed incorrectly in replays. So that we have a base to confirm the issue." "disappearing shells bug" (SS: probably connected to the artillery) was not confirmed yet, Storm states that this bug is different from the one where shells fly through tanks http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/02/28/storm-talks-about-9-0-mega-qa/ UPDATE 2: - fixed the bug where artillery shells fell outside of the aiming circle in arty mode - fixed the bug where artillery shells exploded in mid-air http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/03/13/9-0-preliminary-patch-notes/ UPDATE 3: - arty shells exploding in mid-air and arty shells flying outside of the aim circle were caused by some bug in server connection between nodes during certain distribution setups http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/03/14/14-3-2014/ UPDATE 4: - artillery shells flying outside of the aim circle was identified as a bug, it will be fixed in 9.0 http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/03/10/10-3-2014/ UPDATE 5: - fixed the bug where artillery shells fell outside of the aiming circle in arty mode - fixed the bug where artillery shells exploded in mid-air http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/03/13/9-0-preliminary-patch-notes/ UPDATE 6: - arty shells exploding in mid-air and arty shells flying outside of the aim circle were caused by some bug in server connection between nodes during certain distribution setups http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/03/14/14-3-2014/ UPDATE 7: - confirmed: artillery bugs are already fixed in the supertest 9.0 build http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/03/17/17-3-2014/ UPDATE 8: - a new WGL themed hangar (because, you know, spamming that stuff everywhere is not enough) - hotfix of the arty shells disappearing bug in arty mode Additionally, in order to compensate for server issues, Russian server is getting 1 day premium bonus code for everyone. http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/03/25/ru-server-micropatch-tomorrow/ as some of you might have noticed, a micropatch did hit the EU server as well (without any notice on the portal). This micropatch contains following fixes: - hotfixed the disappearing arty shells in arty mode bug - new hangar (WGL-themed), that will be active from 2nd to 6th April http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/03/25/micropatch-on-wg-eu-as-well/ UPDATE 9 Wargaming claims that the yesterday's micropatch (apart from pointlessly breaking pretty much all the sound mods, causing the game to crash with them and introducing unfunny April "joke") fixed the bug, where artillery shells disappear, right? Wrong. Check this out. This is a German stream from last night (you can check the date -- 13 hours ago) from EU server, eg. from time when the micropatch was already updated (thanks to St0rmshadow for sending it to me) Video - http://www.twitch.tv/wasilijsaizev/c/3952858 It's live recording, so can't be any bug of replays. Now, go to time 1 hour 32 minutes and 15 seconds and watch. At cca 1:32:22 or so, enemy Jagdpanzer E-100 will roll on the player and the artillery shell will vanish directly in front of it. http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/03/26/disappearing-arty-shell-bug-fixed-right/ UPDATE 10 - apparently, the developers dealt with the bug (appearing on current live server), where due to strong unsynchronization between server and client reticle (aim circle), shots were flying wildly out of the client circle http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/04/02/2-4-2014/ Please Subscribe...
