The Choir of St Paul's Cathedral, London, under the direction of Christopher Dearnley, perform 'Eight Melodies', a piece of music originally composed for the Nintendo game 'Mother' (sometimes referred to as 'EarthBound Zero'). British composer Michael Nyman arranged the 8-bit video game track—originally composed by Keichi Suzuki and Hirokazu Tanaka—for treble voices and soloist, while Linda Hennrick added lyrics. On this track, former Head Chorister Jeremy Budd, who is perhaps best known for singing the soprano solos on recordings of Allegri's 'Miserere Mei, Deus' and Mendelssohn's 'Hear My Prayer', leads the choristers of St Paul's Cathedral.
