ASA's video: Grenville Cole wins Senior Achievement of the Year ASA Aquatics Awards 2016

Grenville Cole received the ASA Achievement Award: Senior Participant at the ASA Aquatics Awards 2016. Grenville started swimming again in 2014 after a 68-year hiatus. In his youth he excelled in the pool as county champion and a top junior breaststroker. Re-inspired, Grenville won his first Masters event and started to train three times a week, and was looking forward to joining the 85-89 age band of swimmers in 2016. This year Grenville has set both long and short course British records in the 50m breaststroke, and despite never swimming more than 50m without stopping in recent years, broke the 100m Breaststroke record in his age group by seven seconds. In May 2016, Grenville struck gold in the 50m Breaststroke at the LEN European Masters Championships and broke his own British record again.
