Fun Facts: Considered “a mash-up of alt-rock and adult contemporary” by critics, Carry On was Chris Cornell’s first album after he left his third band Audioslave. He once said that with this next solo album, he was able to put songs that would not have fit with Audioslave on it. While recording, he was involved in a motorcycle accident, apparently “rear-ended by a truck” and “catapulted 20 feet in the air.” Surprisingly, despite walking away with a few severe cuts and bruises, he returned to the studio later that day.
