BjornR Vink's video: 25 26december2011 24h Christmas @TheTopOf Gran Canaria

Dear All, Nearly exactly a year ago I took these photographs from 25-26th december, starting out in the late afternoon and ending the 26th at dawn again. This a presentation, with a small timplapse in between. During that intensive night of shooting and walking a timelapse was made as well from different locations. I carefully walked about 10 km along some steep valleys, through the pinewoods. Due to the midwinter and high altitude the temperatures were below zero. So moving around was the best option. At 10h in the morning the light was not interesting anymore took a good nap at a day-camp terrain. At 14 o'clock a lot of local Carnarian people came to this forest-spot enjoining their chrismas-barbeque. So time to break up and going out for Roque Nublo and wait for what the clouds and the Passat-winds could provide. Light was astonishing due to the clouds and the low sun, even an unexpected red rainbow occurred. Used (light-wait) Photo-equipement: Very sensitive Nikon D700 with 14mm Samyang (300€, pancake 40mm f2 Voitlånder Ultron(200€ 2nd hand) , Tokina 90mm ATX f2,5 Macro, and Nikkor AIS Ed 180mm The latter two are lowcost 100€ quality optics from the eighties! So I took no autofocus- or zoomlenses with me, From Mheer in the Netherlands just by a small margin, Groetjes Bjorn
