Bodleian Libraries's video: Bhagavadg t Scroll

@Bhagavadgītā Scroll
This scroll of the Bhagavadgītā [MS. Fraser Sansk. 41 a, b] is an example of the 18th century fashion for copying certain Hindu sacred texts on to thin, burnished strips of paper that are not to be read, but to be carried as an amulet. The scroll includes images of the gods Gaṇeśa, Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Lakṣmī, Śiva, Durgā and Krishna.
