Here's a further example of the extent to which football (and society?) has changed in the past 30 years - try comparing this extract from The Big Match to some of the nonsense from listeners you hear on Talksport these days, and why do you never see telephones on newsdesks any more? - as Brian Moore reads out a list of somewhat bizarre letters from viewers, including one from a lady (a Mrs Arsey Horn) who was hit in the face by Ted Drake, Pat Jennings being courteous, and a story involving Peter Marinello which for some reason made me laugh out loud. Love the fact that BM reads out the individual correspondent's full home address - I haven't seen this happen on TV for years. Copyright belongs to ITV.
