CrapCook's video: Monty Sunshine With Hushabye

Just discovered this wonderful track on a 'Best of' album I found in Oxfam for a couple of quid. Not least, I suspect, because British 'Trad' musicians like Chris Barber and Acker Bilk are I think rather looked down on by serious jazz folk, who tend to prefer their jazz musicians American and black. I guess it's understandable, but it seems rather a shame: for all their Trad oompah, such musicians brought an east European Jewish vibe to Basin Street, to achieve a unique and genuinely rather wonderful hybrid, particularly on slow, mournful tracks like this 'lullaby'.
