Government promoted fertilizer and chemical company GNFC has risen by almost 20% since the declaration of Dec. Quarter results. Strong performance was aided by strong volumes and realizations. Despite rising input prices, margins were supported by higher realizations on output products and higher subsidies were received for the fertilizer segment. Key triggers for the company include relatively cheaply valued as compared to peer, capacity enhancement projects being undertaken for various chemicals and negligible debt. Risks include rising Input costs which have impacted fertilizer imports. Logistics disruption due to Covid-19 has also been a cause of concern.
