EXITING THE EARTH's video: Exploring the Magical Easter Island Chile - March April 2019

@Exploring the Magical Easter Island, Chile - March/April 2019
The polynesian triangle. The most remote island in the world; EASTER ISLAND! Chillin' in Chile! I had a blast! The is my 2nd favorite place I've visited so far. :) I could go back for another round of island fun! Riding around the island on an ATV, up by sunrise and catching the beautiful sunsets shadowed by the Moai. This place is indeed magical and a dream come true. Absolutely perfect for me. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, nature, animals (dogs, cats, chickens, roosters, wild horses, the biggest cockroaches I've ever seen!! and other tropical inverts) and the most warm community of people I've had the pleasure of being around. I felt welcomed as soon as I arrived. The majority of language spoken on the island is Spanish and traditional Rapa Nui. Very, little English. But I no problem communicating. The main currency is Chilean Pesos, but they do take some Credit Cards, Euros/USD. Make sure you keep an eye out for CASH ONLY signs at the shops and resturants. For the first time in my life of traveling, my checked luggage went "missing." It was a real heart in the throat type moment. I had to file a claim with LATAM and it was considered lost in customs back in Santiago Chile. After hearing horror stories of people never getting their bags or it arriving months later, it miraculously showed up nearly a day and a half later. RUSHED. Delivered directly to me at my hotel! So freakin' thankful!! The culture and community on the island is so chill and laid back. There was no aggressive hard selling at the shops or little souvenir stands around the island. You could look around and no one bothered you or hassled you. Nothing but very friendly people. I had a strict budget I was gonna stick to, because the island can be very expensive. The flight alone was nearly a 2 day journey for me and $$$. Google flights is a great way to check on low season flight costs and the best time to grab up those plane tickets. Check it out. I stayed at Hotel Atavai, which was a 15-20min walk from the main town area. Slight inconvenience if your gonna be on foot, but it was the cheapest ($40 a night) and most basic and minimal place I could find. I had no issues at all, I was renting a quad for the week. As for Wifi, you're on a remote island, in the tropics, you're gonna have the weakest wifi signal most of the time. You're gonna have some bugs crawling around your room too. BIG BUGS!! lol. I loved being surrounded by all the animals. Hope you enjoyed the video. It was really windy, so I thought background music fit well instead of hearing all that noise. Thanks for watching!!
