In December 1999, Year 5 and 6 pupils from Marshfield Primary School went to The Catherine Wheel pub for their lunch one Friday as a special treat! Mr Swann, their teacher, often went to the pub with other teachers and staff on a Friday, and he thought it would be a nice treat for his pupils. They dressed up smartly, the boys wore aftershave, the girls perfume and make-up and they enjoyed a feast of sausages, chips and beans, followed by icecream! Somehow, the BBC Points West found out what was planned and turned-up to film the proceedings for that evening's new bulletin! Fun times!
