Dried fish is fried and flaked and mixed in with some toasted garlic, chilies and shredded coconut. Everything is cooked down until toasted and browned, before being pounded. It's a popular Tausug and Yakan spice that is added in a large variety of dishes. Today i added it to a simple green mango salad.
