As MTR will change the new signalling system for the Shatin to Central Link project tomorrow, the current SP1900 EMUs in East Rail will transfer to West Rail/Ma On Shan Line. Also, these East Rail 1900s didn't install the new signalling system (Trainguard MT), those trains will not serve the East Rail Line anymore. They will soon transfer to Pat Heung Maintenance Centre (except the F-car, which will be moved to Japan and convert to H-car) and carry out the conversion. They will be replaced with the new R-Trains. Cars: D225-P225-M225-H225+C226-H226+M228-P228+F227-M227-P227-D227 Also, if you are wondering what's the old signalling system, it's TBL, enhanced with ATC and ATO.
