Hannah Ruth Gray's video: SUMMER S BIRTH: Positive natural unmedicated birth story

Before giving birth to Summer I watched lots of these birth stories as part of my preperation for hypnobirthing. I wanted to make one myself for other women. And wanted to document it for the memories! Don't worry it's not gory! I was lucky enough to have my first baby with gas and air, a pool and some brilliant support from my husband (and positive affirmation recordings to listen to). It was 'unmedicated' as they say in some countries. In the run up to the birth I read a couple of good books on hypnobirthing and how you can deal with pain better when you are prepared and when you are focussed and mentally strong with tools, like slowing down your breathing, to help you cope. I was open to anything on the day. Summer Elizabeth Gray was born at 7.32pm on 22nd May at the Leeds General Infirmary with her Daddy, David Gray, there as my birthing partner. We were in the lotus suite with a pool and also a bed as I wanted to get out to have help as I pushed her out! I ended up having an episiotomy... but did NOT film this! ha! She was delievered a week past her due date.
