Refurbishing our house has taken over my life at the moment, it may be exhausting but this house is everything. Very proud of my bubz, that he's able to provide a family home we can call our own. In this vlog, I've shared family moments whilst shopping for DIY items. I've also shared some footage on how the living room and dining room used to look. Actually ill be doing makeover transformation in each room (dining room and living room coming next) because let me tell you that the house we purchased was an outdated house so you'll be seeing a BIG difference from how this house used to look. Refurbishing and turning this outdated house into a modern home that me and my family can enjoy is so much better than renting. We haven't got landlords increasing our rent year by year, also landlords can just evict tenants if they want the property back. The biggest pain is paying gazillions of rent a year that doesn't go towards owning the house! Some might wonder as to why we didn't buy a house in better condition. Let me start by saying that houses in London are super expensive, way out of reach for most people. For those who are lucky enough to own a house then their future is brighter. Im sure y'all know that house prices in England continues to rise every year so it is certainly a wise investment. Anyway it took several months to find this house and we have more than enough room for a family of 3! Ofcourse, I wouldn't disclose where we bought the house for privacy reasons. To sum it up, me and bubz decided to go for a house that has the most affordable price (which very rarely comes in the market) and refurbish it to our standards. Here are my current fave shops to shop from.. 1) B & Q -- is the best place to go for DIY products, some are affordable. You can also compare prices in Amazon online market, often they have cheaper products but delivery isn't free unless you are a prime member. 2) Wickes -- the best place to purchase a quality kitchen and quality bathroom. However, their kitchen and bathroom takes 2 to 3 weeks to make and the installation takes atleast 10 days. Total of almost a month, which is way too long. Hence, me and Bubz decided to hire our own builders, purchase kitchen separate from another company and only purchase our sink from Wickes. I still absolutely love their showrooms! 3) Toptiles -- OMG this is the best tile shop ever! They have a wide selection of quality tiles, online they have even more. I find that it's best to visit the shop to really take a good look at the quality of these tiles, as the photos doesn't do it justice. 4) Victoria Plumbing -- the best place to purchase anything bathroom related. They have quality products for a more reasonable price and they have a wide variety of almost everything bathroom related which includes shower rooms, toilet. Me and Bubz were quite impressed with the toilet we purchased from this company, delivery was quick and loved the quality! You beauties will be seeing more of these shops in my refurb vlogs!
