Joe Perkins's video: Viewer Request 4: Can You Make A Strat Pickup Sound Like A P90

@Viewer Request #4: Can You Make A Strat Pickup Sound Like A P90...??
Welcome to Perky's Analog Gear Demos. Please subscribe for more demos of vintage & rare effects pedals! Today, Bobby G asks whether I can make a Strat bridge pickup sound like a P90 using an EQ pedal and settings on the amp. So, let's give it a go! I'll be using a vintage Boss GE-10; the 3-band EQ on my Hughes & Kettner Puretone; and also using some gain pedals to see if we can emulate the sound of a P90 going into a cooking amp. How will we get on?!? What do you think? Did I get close? Or was I miles off? Comment below! Guitar recorded through a Hughes And Kettner Puretone (Celestion AlNiCo Gold; Aston Spirit Condenser and '70s Sennheiser MD441) with a Schoeps CMC6 room mic. jp@joeperkins.co.uk Vector images by freepik.com
