Leif Ohlsson's video: GEFS sim DC3 Bharkot landing

We come from a GEFS sim flight in the High Himalayas to land at Bharkot airfield in a beautiful valley flying the sim's version of the DC3. We have already descended to 5,000 ft through the valley behind, and the airfield is at 3,000 ft, but hidden behind the ridge at right in the movie. The descent is thus made through a valley roughly parallel to the airfield, and the approach requires an almost 180° turn around the bluff of the ridge we are descending along. The airfield will not be visible until the turn is almost completed. Final descent is quite steep and I've learned to use the flaps as dive brakes. Full flaps (3 notches) for losing altitude quickly, retract to one notch only for a better flare out, full flaps again to get and stay down.
