Evolving over the years into one of Texas' most prolific, warm, and insightful songwriters, Owen Temple recently followed up a string of albums ranging from honky-tonk to heartland rock to back-porch acoustic folk with "Stories They Tell." His most ambitious record to date, it flows through corners of history, philosophy, and Temple's own personality with a knowing and adventurous kind of grace. A frequent headliner at venues across Texas with an occasional nationwide swing, and a highly sought-after collaborator among his fellow musicians, Temple was kind enough to make time for the Gibson Texas Backroom Bootlegs and sing "Make Something" at the August 2013 edition of the event.
