Mini, the iconic British brand with a niche fan following in India, offers five different cars with multiple variants for India. The range starts from 3-door Mini Cooper and goes up to Mini Countryman with JCW inspired styling. The most basic version of Mini comes with a 1.5L, 3-cylinder diesel engine, producing 114 HP of maximum power and 270 Nm of torque. The values may not feel respectable for such an expensive car but overall, the engine output is quite impressive for its size. The petrol version is powered by a 1998cc, four-cylinder engine, producing 192 HP and 280 Nm of torque. The engine is similar to the one seen on BMW cars. Even after getting more expensive models on the list, Mini Cooper S is the best product with 0-100 kph time of just 6.7 seconds. The lightweight 3-door model with a powerful petrol engine costs INR 33.20 lakh and proves the hot hatch yet practical quotient with decent 17.4 kmpl of mileage. The same car can be had in a convertible version, taking the time up to 7.1 seconds. Clubman and Countryman, both being bigger in size, claim lower mileage and slower sprint times with the same engine.
