Regardless of what actually happened, I think it's pretty clear that they had a wonderful relationship from the start and they were lucky to find each other. That's why people got so invested in them, I think. They represent something everyone wants: finding a soulmate at a young age. Cringe-worthy, I know. But the word describes pretty well what Harry and Louis looked like from the outside. They met and they clicked right away. In the span of a second, they went from total strangers to Louis taking a picture of himself with Harry because he knew that boy would become famous. And then to declaring themselves best mates. They spoke only in compliments about each other, decided to live together and got themselves a set of surprisingly similar tattoos. It makes for a good story, you've got to admit. (Only used public outings, concerts, video diaries. No private footage.)
