In this video we're talking specifically about what GEM Uncirculated means when talking about graded silver coins. You'll see a wide array of marketing tools dealers might use in order to get you to look twice at a coin. What do you think GEM Uncirculated means? Well for starters, it's nothing too special. All it really means is that particular coin is graded between MS65 and MS66. Most dealers know that putting MS65 on the label is not too appealing. So they opt to put GEM Uncirculated. That looks way more appealing to the eye and thus they can sell that coin with a premium. Is it worth it buying GEM Uncirculated? I would have to say that if you can find the best price for the silver coin and you're happy with the amount, then absolutely. I consider graded silver coins under MS70 to be just framed coins.
