On behalf of both SSSIONZ and Kaipatiki Trust we thank all the supporters, volunteers, well-wishers and contributors. On the 11th March 2023 at the Kaipatiki Community Centre in Auckland the Sathya Sai International Organisation of New Zealand and 8 Diverse Faith Groups representing Maori Spirituality, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Nepalese and Sikhism came together to do a “Fun Day Out for Our Special Children” in partnership with several Special Needs Community Support Agencies and the Local Community Trust. The main objectives for this event were to: • To celebrate special children, their caregivers, parents and their families, with a Fun Day Out in a safe, loving environment. • Provide information on special needs resources and support available in the community. • Provide opportunity for different faith and community groups to work together to serve the community, building bridges promoting unity and harmony. The event was open to the whole community and entirely free of charge. It exceeded all expectations meeting all our objectives. This was due to the incredible support and wonderful alliance formed, in a very short time, between the inter faith groups , care givers groups and Kaipataki Community Facilities Trust. Such collaborations are crucial in building strong and inclusive communities that value diversity and respect for all. It's heart-warming to know that the event provided a safe and loving environment for special children, their caregivers, parents, and families to have fun and enjoy different activities. A number of stalls of fun, creative and challenging activities; entertainment; Stalls providing valuable information on special needs; Such information can be helpful to families and caregivers in accessing the support they need to provide the best care for their loved ones. Finally, it's important to recognize and appreciate the efforts of all the volunteers, supporters, well-wishers, and contributors who made the event possible.
