It happened again - an outbreak of dermatitis this time around my right eye, something called perioccular dermatitis. Usually it's perioral, ie around my nose and mouth. Grrrr. I stupidly applied an overnight lactic acid cream and somehow it transferred to under my left lower eyelid and I awoke the next morning to a red, sore and throbbing area of skin. Over the coming days red, raised welts appeared and luckily, with the help of my brilliant friend ,a dermatologist Dr Anjali Mahto, I was diagnosed and told how to look after it. And so here I share her advise and my journey. It is now two weeks later and I am almost healed, almost.
