Transcript: We’ll soon be working with a new company to process and market our recyclable materials. W-M Recycle America will take over the contract on July 1. The company will process the materials collected through our curbside recycling program. We deliver approximately 18,000 tons of recycling per year to the Materials Recovery facility. That’s where it is unloaded, sorted, baled, and sold to markets as raw materials for recycling into products. W-M Recycle America’s facility is relatively new and has state of the art equipment which will help maximize the value of Durham's recyclable materials. This is important because the pricing structure is based on the sales of those raw materials. The three-year contract with W-M Recycle America is for up to $4.5 million.
