Oris - Go your own way. EPISODE 1: Pia Van Peteghem Pia découvre la céramique auprès de sa grand-mère, Mona, qui l'initie petite, au travail de l'argile. Elle continue pendant sa scolarité à suivre des cours auprès de la céramiste Sophie de Busscher. Vers 18 ans, elle décide de s'initier au tournage et c'est la confirmation d'un attrait particulier pour la céramique qui s'impose comme moyen privilégié de recherche et d'expression. Après des études d'histoire de l'art et de médiation culturelle, la céramique l'emporte. Elle part pour Bruxelles où elle fait une Ecole d'arts visuels, en section céramique. De retour à Paris, elle choisit de parfaire sa formation à l'Ecole Art et Technique Céramique où elle rencontre Grégoire Scalabre avec qui elle fonde son atelier. -------- Pia Van Peteghem discovered ceramics through her grandmother, Mona, who introduced her to clay work. During her schooling, she continued to study with the ceramist Sophie de Busscher. At the age of 18, she decided to be initiated into ceramic turning and it was for her the confirmation of a special attraction for ceramics that became the privileged means of research and expression. After studying art history and cultural mediation, ceramics prevails. She left Paris for Brussels to study in a visual arts School, in ceramic section.
