Summary pros and cons 3:26 I used the following Nvidia drivers throughout this video, unless specified otherwise: Ubuntu with 370.28 Windows with 372.70 DOW2R is running with DirectX9 in Windows, and on Linux it looks like it's running an OpenGL 3 context. Due to the age of this game, this is expected. On Windows, power settings are set to High Performance. On Ubuntu, cpufreq is also set to Performance. On Ubuntu and on Windows I utilized the Steam FPS counter to ensure that it calculated the frames the same way, and the benchmark results are taken directly from within the game. I hope I have not made any mistakes. I took about 3 days to make this video, with 2 days spent on redoing the tests to make absolutely sure I wasn't messing something up. Fun fact: This video took longer than it should have due to DoW2R constantly crashing on Windows during recording (not new, since release it's been like this). That Relic bug report window is really annoying. Please feel free to share your experience in the comments below, but I do ask that you at least run through the same settings in the benchmark as I have to keep your experience as close as 1:1 to that of my own.
