Love the way this 12L14 steel machines. 0.100" / 2.5mm depth of cut with a TCMT carbide insert @ 1000 RPM on 1" / 25mm dia. round stock. Each part takes 7 heavy passes like this, then measure the diameter and make a cleanup pass to final dimension. Flip the rod and repeat on the other end, then thread to M8-1.25.
