While people with common sense like myself knew that this couldn't be the case since there's a likely sequel being worked on as we speak. But due to the multiple instances of the character meeting his demise in other lore some assumed that it was inevitable for our boy Petey to push up daisies. Even if the word death was never uttered in the title, anytime a Spider-Man Miles Morales video was posted you could bet that there was gonna be a comment outright shunning the game based off the assumption that Peter would die.
