Jose Maniyangat was going to celebrate Mass at a mission church in the north part of Kerala, and he had a fatal accident. Fr. Jose Maniyangat was riding a motorcycle when he was hit head-on by a jeep driven by a man who was intoxicated after a Hindu festival. He was rushed to a hospital. On the way his soul came out from his body and he experienced death. His angel told him: "I am going to take you to Heaven, the Lord wants to meet you and talk with you".
