I prime this white surfacer over the previous gray primed spoon to see can it cover. Unfortunately, it doesn't really however I think priming white over the gray primer now gives you a better chance to paint and achieve the piece in pure white next. If we wanted to paint pure white over gray primer, the white would have some 'greyish' undertone. On the other hand, with only white primer alone it might not fully cover the dark surface, if so we still could not yield the best result for the next pure white layer.
