It was later released on his debut mixtape, The Slaughter Tape, released on May 25, 2015.[8] On July 2, 2015, 21 Savage released a collaborative EP, Free Guwop, with Sonny Digital.[9] It is a tribute EP to fellow rapper and influence Gucci Mane. On December 1, 2015, 21 Savage released his second mixtape, Slaughter King.[10] 2016–present: Savage Mode and Issa Album In June 2016, 21 Savage was named as one of the "Freshman Class" of 2016 by XXL.[11] On July 15, 2016, 21 Savage released his joint EP Savage Mode with Atlanta-based record producer Metro Boomin. The EP gained international success and peaked at number 23 on the Billboard 200, becoming their highest charting EP to date.[12] He was on the cover of Fader.[13] His single "X" featuring Future on the EP was confirmed by Billboard as going platinum in the US, being 21's 1st platinum record.[14] On January 18, 2017, 21 Savage announced that he had signed to Epic Records.[3] His debut studio album Issa Album debuted at number 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart.[15] Its lead single "Bank Account" has reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.[16] Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn (born November 20, 1983), known professionally as Future, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Wilburn first became involved in music as part of the Dungeon Family collective, where he was nicknamed "the Future". After amassing a series of mixtapes between 2010 and 2011, Future signed a major record label deal with Epic Records and A1 Recordings, which helped launch Future's own label imprint, Freebandz. He subsequently released his debut album, Pluto, in April 2012 to positive reviews. Future's second album, Honest, was released in April 2014, surpassing his debut on the album charts. Between late 2014 and early 2015, he released a trio of mixtapes to critical praise: Monster (2014), Beast Mode (2015), and 56 Nights (2015). His next releases, DS2 (2015), What a Time to Be Alive (2015, in collaboration with Drake), EVOL (2016), FUTURE (2017) and HNDRXX (2017) all debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200.
