I've theorized it since I hit a 43.604 flap and low 46.3x lap 1 shroomless. It's just more shenanigans to pull while grinding away at the most bullshit category MT can offer. I think this is the only no-glitch category that bumping into a wall is faster. For the record: Flap: 43.401 / 46.140 / 46.140 = 2:15.681 No Flap: 45.385 / 45.116 / 45.116 = 2:15.617 Lap 2 and 3 for no-flap are heavily dependent on the type of net you encounter, so honestly the BKS is not accurate in that case. However when you use the flap, the net is in a nice position for both laps 1 and 2 ... and I'm assuming 3 is a decent position where you can still triple net (based on the pace I had in the run).
