Swarajya's video: 2022 Republic Day Parade On Central Vista Avenue Says Hardeep Singh Puri After Bhoomi Poojan News

Minister of State (independent charge) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri on Thursday performed the 'bhoomi poojan' ceremony of the Central Vista Avenue at India Gate in New Delhi. After the ceremony, Puri announced that the 2022 Republic Day parade will take place on Central Vista Avenue. “It will be a symbol of modern India. Some do not understand its importance, some do not want the country to progress. They were questioning COVID-19 vaccine too but as all can see, we had a phenomenal rollout,” added Puri. With the 'bhoomi poojan' ceremony, the work has begun for the development and redevelopment of Central Vista Avenue, which is a three-km-long stretch. The area begins from North and South Block to India Gate that includes the Rajpath, its adjoining lawns and canals, rows of trees, Vijay Chowk and the India Gate plaza. The government has taken the decision to refurbish and improve the avenue, as part of the comprehensive transformation of Central Vista.
