Born in South Sudan, Dr. Ajak Duany Ajak traces his academic journey from scratching letters on the clay under a tree in the village to being displaced by war and finding temporary solace in a Kenyan refugee camp, settling into migrant life in Western Australia, he beat all odds to earn a PhD in mining from an Australian University.
