Thunderhowl Studios's video: How to make a foam base protogen head FULL

@How to make a foam base protogen head FULL
The FULL step by step guide on how to make a foam base protogen fursuit head from lightweight simple, easy to find materials! Made in the same way Skye cabbit has used for her "protogen project". Video is Divided up into 5 parts: *1: Creating the visor *2: Cheek things and vision *3: Lining the visor and patterning the fur *4: Furring the head *5: Adding those bouncy ears This is the super extended version showing every single step. I'll likely create a shorter version excluding the simple stuff that some more experienced suit makers may already know. All the skills I teach you in this video are core skills you'll need to make suits, so if you're new to suit making, this can definitely help prepare you for more complex projects. Materials needed: super solar screen, jersey mesh(optional), balaclava or lycra, black fleece, 1" foam, 1/4" foam, paper posterboard, colored felt sheets. Tools: mannequin head, tape measure, scissors, hot glue gun, hot glue, sharpie, Shaver (optional) The goal of the project was to provide an alternative way to create a lightweight and comfortable protogen head out of simple and easy to find materials. To provide a cost effective alternative to the expensive 3d printed bases with lots of electronics in them. I for one, am not the best at electronics and figured plenty of people could enjoy this! The protogen project was discontinued, but lives on in this guide. GO! Create a gorgeous protogen for yourself! *Sorry for any editing mistakes. video was too long for my computer to handle me going back in to change anything. **DISCLAIMER: THIS DOES NOT REPRESENT THE METHODS USED ON THUNDERHOWL COMMISSIONS. THIS VIDEO IS TO HELP OTHER MAKERS REPLICATE OUR PAST PROTOGEN SUIT HEADS which were made "quickly" compared to other methods. We fully sew everything and fully line the interior of our commissioned suit heads. Commissioned heads are built VERY different, yet are still hollow and lightweight. We do not "glue" the edges of the fur down on our commissioned suits. I recommend it in this video because it is a WONDERFUL beginner technique and a lot of makers would likely benefit from some parts of this video. even our newer protogens were sewn around the face and along the edges where the fur meets fleece.
