The Intel Haswell i7 4770K, clocked at 3.5GHz, is sold at the insane price of ~790$, depending on where you're looking to buy it from. However, the Intel Haswell i7 4790K, clocked at 4GHz, will set you back much less than 400$. Therefore, one can understand the paradox of the circumstance: How can a 500MHz speed deficit justify a 400$ price premium...? So, I benchmark the two CPUs under the impression that the 4770K is much faster, considering its nut job price-tag. But is it really faster...?
