Opened in November 2018, ICONSIAM is among the newest tourist attractions in amazing Bangkok, THAILAND. Strange to think that a mall would be listed as a tourist attraction. But ICONSIAM is much more than a mall thereby earning it the moniker - MOTHER OF ALL MALLS. Billed as the "Icon of Eternal Prosperity" and "a new global landmark on the Chow Phraya River". superlatives abound. Well what can you expect with an investment of 1.6 billion dollars by the Chareon Pokhand Group of Thailand. According to Wikipedia Iconsiam, stylized as ICONSIAM, and ICS is a mixed-use development on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand.[1] It includes one of the largest shopping malls in Asia, which opened to the public on 10 November 2018,[2] as well as hotels and residences. The 54 billion baht[3] (US$1.5 billion) project is being developed as a joint venture by Siam Piwat group, a Thai high-end shopping mall developer, MQDC Magnolia Quality Development, and Charoen Pokphand Group.[4] The complex will include two of the tallest buildings in Bangkok upon completion: the 52-storey Mandarin Oriental Residences[5] and the 70-floor Magnolias Waterfront Residences.[6] CONSIAM Building 525,000 m2 of retail floor space.[7] Two shopping malls, IconSiam and IconLuxe. The first Siam Takashimaya department store in Thailand.[8] The first Apple Store in Thailand.[9] Dear Tummy Premium Supermarket 7-Eleven Modern Premium Convenience store SOOK Siam, an indoor floating market.[10] A 3,000 seat auditorium/exhibition hall named "True ICON Hall", with True Corporation.[11] (To be opened in July 2019).[12] Icon Cineconic the cinema by Major Cineplex 14 Cinemas. ClubICON by Fitness First. Iconsiam Heritage Museum (River Museum Bangkok), a joint venture with The Fine Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture of Thailand,[13] opening in July 2019. Two residential buildings, the Magnolia Waterfront Residences (315m and 70 floors, 300 units) and The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, (272m, 52 floors, 146 units). A riverside park with an area of more than 10,000 m2 along the Chao Phraya River and a riverside walkway.[14][15] ICS Building An expansion to the current mall with more shop and restaurant.
