USWNT and NWSL Orlando Pride star striker, Alex Morgan touched down at Newark Airport to a water cannon salute on July 8th, 2019 and spoke exclusively one-on-one with NBC News 4 NY to discuss what it will feel like to have the nation rally behind Team USA at the Ticker Tape Parade to be held on Wednesday, July 10th, 2019 in New York City's "Canyon of Heroes" (or Heroines). Alex is excited to feel the nation rally behind the team first hand back stateside. The USWNT won the Women's World Cup ("WWC") at Stade de Lyon in France on July 7th, 2019 defeating the Netherlands 2-0 in the final to hoist the trophy for a second straight time and fourth overall in franchise history. Morgan won the silver ball as second top scorer in the tournament.
