The Path of the Gods (Sentiero degli Dei) on the Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful walks in Europe, with incredible views over the sea far below, and the cliffs above. It has become a very popular hike, being a manageable 9km, particularly when followed downhill from Bomerano above Amalfi in the direction of Nocelle above Positano. Unfortunately, like so many beautiful and popular places, it has now become a victim of its own success. I would highly recommend avoiding the walk on weekends and public holidays unless you’re happy to be surrounded by bellowing groups of hikers. ötter
