Me singing "hand in my pocket" by alanis morissette. Another old recording of mine..sorry the music is so loud and her voice is faintly audible in the background i think..loved singing it in her style though :D definitely one of my favorite alanis songs.. This track was from her album "jagged little pill" which was a pretty aggressive set of songs...but this one was relatively milder..more sarcastic than optimistic in my opinion. the song could be anything, depends on your mood when you're listening to it...it could be about there being a bright side to every situation, or about everything being "fine" but only because that's what people want you to say, it's not what you really believe. It's about one hand being in your pocket, your control, being personal, private, relaxed, disconnected..and the other lives life, puts up pretences for society, does everything to create a balance in one's own world.. this song could be what others tell you, or what you tell yourself.. but in the end no one's better than the other..coz no one has anything figured out...we just say that everything's gonna be ok..and go along our respective ways :) that's my highly confusing interpretation.. i'm going to add the lyrics here anyway...worth taking some meaning out of it for yourself.. enjoy! - Nyx / Warsha NOTE: No copyright infringement intended.
