@Iron Gwazi - Jake Kilcup interview Busch Gardens Tampa
Jake Kilup, Chief Operating Officer & Designer at RMC (Rocky Mountain Construction), speaks with us about Busch Garden Tampa's new-for-2022 Iron Gwazi coaster. In 2020 Rocky Mountain Construction completed the I-Box track conversion of the Gwazi wooden coaster, but its opening was delayed until 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The hybrid steel coaster features a 206 foot (63m) tall 91° drop, a 540 roll, an inverted camelback stall and huge overbanked curve - all while reaching speeds up to 76 mph (122.5 km/h) along 4,075 feet (1,242m) of track. This Busch Gardens park is located in Tampa, Florida.
