Heather Packer from Cutler salon talks us through the inspiration and how to for the La Perla NYFW Fall 13 looks. The soft look with combs: Inspired by Spanish late 1930's film and to look as if she just had incredible sex and used 3 combs to pull up her hair. Apply redken rootful all over roots to ends. Blowdry with a round brush focusing on volume at the roots and not polishing the hair. Apply redken powder grip to the roots. Subtlety back brush the roots. Sweep back softly to the side and pull up with 3 combs; one above each ear and one in the back. Allow for softness and loose bits to escape. The other look was inspired by Helmut Newton and intended to look strong and androgynous. We created a deep side part straight back to the crown of the head. Then applied redken rootful from roots to ends all over and blowdried directing the hair towards a low ponytail. We secured a low ponytail at the nape and twisted the hair into a tight clean bun.
