Travelling to HaLong Bay and cruise is a must-do while visiting Vietnam. Compare to most of the other activities in Vietnam, it is not cheap at all. Also if you only have a few days in Hanoi, you will need to consider the following: - To do an over-night/Multi-night cruise trip OR a day trip to Halong bay? - It takes almost 4 hours to get from Hanoi to Halong bay (including shopping stops), how can you maximise your time in Halong bay without sacrifices your time in Hanoi or other places you will be visiting in Vietnam? - There are so many companies out there doing similar things, which one should you use?
