Derecho cluster line of severe thunderstorms with strong winds causing lots of damage across the St. Louis Metro area. Small short lived spin up tornadoes were also reported with this derecho just before it reached northern St. Louis county. Some residents were without power for a few days. Another rotation would then develop right over the Florissant area causing a tornado warning to issue, it would then move ESE into the Black Jack and Spanish Lake areas where lots of damage to trees and powerlines would take place from powerful winds. A bus stop bench would also get blown off its foundation from the strong straight line winds.
