From Wikipedia: Every Mother's Son was an American sunshine pop band formed in New York City, New York, in 1966. Coming from a folk rock background situated in Greenwich Village, the group utilized its clean-cut image to score their only Top 40 hit "Come On Down to My Boat" in 1967. Following their brief, but immense, commercial success, Every Mother's Son achieved lesser fortunes with songs such as "Put Your Mind at Ease" and "Pony with the Golden Mane", and recorded two studio albums before disbanding in 1968. Past members : Dennis Larden, Larry Larden, Bruce Milner, Christopher Augustine, Schuyler Larsen and Don Kerr. "Come On Down to My Boat" is a song written by Jerry Goldstein and Wes Farrell and performed by Every Mother's Son. The song reached on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1967. The song appeared on their 1967 album, Every Mother's Son, but was titled on the album as "Come and Take a Ride in My Boat", the same title used by The Rare Breed who released their version the previous year in September 1966. The song was produced by Wes Farrell. The song was ranked on Billboard magazine's Top Hot 100 songs of 1967. Released April 22, 1967
