This time I met up with my good old friend Paul and we went together to a famous Kimchi Jjigae Restaurant in Seoul, which was even featured on Korean TV. Kimchijjigae (김치찌개) is my favorite Korean food next to Dakgalbi, so I was really looking forward to try this local Kimchi Jjigae place. For the ones, who don’t know what Kimchi Jjigae is: Kimchi stew is one of the most-loved of all the stews in Korean cuisine. It’s a warm, hearty, spicy, savory, delicious dish that pretty much everyone loves. As long as they can handle spicy food, I never met a person who didn’t like kimchi-jjigae. Even Paul, who isn’t as good with spicy Korean food could enjoy this delicious Kimchi Jjigae! Besides eating Kimchi Jjigae (김치찌개), we also talked about 5 things foreigners love about Korea. So we brought up topics like Korean food, that meals in Korea are way cheaper than abroad, that everything is quick here, so you don’t need to wait for anything, like for example for the internet setup. Also we talked about the ultimate convenience of living in South Korea and also the Korean medical care system. Of course there are many more things, foreigners like about living in Korea, but these are our 5 shorts points and insights.
