"5 Content Strategies to be Adopted for Festive Season"

Covid-19 has surely turned out to be very struggling for brands and influencers. It was during lockdown when many influencers were seen creating content that reflected more of “Work from Home” concepts for others to adopt. This indeed brought many insightful ideas yet created an extreme level of competition among them.

As everyone has slowly accepted the “new normal”, brands and influencers are now heading towards a life that used to be. With this, as the festive season is beginning, Here are 5 content strategies one influencer must surely consider adopting:

Create a Calendar

As an influencer, one needs to be one step ahead of all festive days and creating a calendar could be the most effective way to do so. Having a pre-defined schedule on what, how and when one needs to work can increase the effectiveness. As the festival season has begun, many well-established influencers are already seen creating content w.r.t clothing, décor, beauty, cooking with collaborated brands. Kritika Khurana, a well-established lifestyle influencer, is already seen collaborating with brands like Amazon for its festive sale and Arpita Mehta for her new clothing range.

Home Effective Content

As much as lockdown has welcomed new brands, customers have highly been influenced by home effective content. Users have been demanding DIY’s that could be both cost and time effective. Influencers have been creating content that could easily be adopted at homes by their followers for which home décor, skincare and beauty, sustainable clothing and 15 Minutes Recipes were high in demand. With this, during the festive season, influencers must continue working towards the ideas that could be easily implemented at homes. Sukhneet Wadwa, a lifestyle influencer, created a series based on home beauty DIY’s which went viral across Instagram.

Provide Insightful Content

Gone are the days when just creating content and sharing across social media platforms work. Users now want to have informative access to the content that has social relevance. With each festival, influencers must provide an additional informative fact that could compliment the theme. There’s a highly diverse community built on social media platforms which might look up to an influencer. For this, an influencer must research and be well informed to provide right and insightful content.

Organize Contests

Targeting influencers for organizing contests has been the most widely used marketing strategy by brands. While collaboration and influencers go together, it is vital to choose the right method for the same. As an influencer, when brands have their offers to promote, influencers must strategize which brand they should work with and what type of contest they must organize. Make-up artists such as Guneet Virdi, Leena Bhushan, Meenakshi Dutt are seen collaborating with brands like Forever52 and organizing giveaways. This not only boosts the reach of such brands but also creates a sense of acknowledgement among followers.

Positive

Act One needs to be highly conservative while choosing a content strategy. There is a diverse community built up on social media platforms and providing relevant content could be highly complex. To work towards a specific content, one influencer must consider the audience and the purpose of doing it. One’s content must leave a positive impact to avoid any controversy. Especially during the festive season, it should not hurt any social and cultural factor. Recently, Tanishq brand came up with an ad to spread the message of unity between two religions. However, due to social and political pressure, it was brought down from all the platforms. Hence, as a brand or as an influencer, such considerations should be highly kept in mind.

While the season of celebration has just begun, one influencer must provide not just relevant content but also should have a reflection of one’s work in it. This shall bring uniqueness in the content so curated. Have a safe and creative season ahead!
