@Sirius-B and the Dogon Tribe - Debunked and Explained
Aliens Give Star Map to Ancient Tribesmen [Un-] Explained: Debunking the weird and wonderful in (about) two minutes! https://www.youtube.com/c/unexplainedUK From Beyond the Grave: https://youtu.be/FOqLKIn9nNg Ghost Ship: https://youtu.be/w-HAz9NvbLg ---------------------- Transcript Are there 800,000 disciples of extra-terrestrials living in West Africa? 1931: French anthropologist Marcel Griaule begins a 25 year study of the Mali-based Dogon people. In 1946 a Dogon wiseman tells him that the brightest star in the sky, Sirius, had two companion stars, Sirius A and Sirius B. But how could a people with no astronomical equipment know the movements of Sirius B which is invisible to the human eye? The knowledge, said the wiseman, was passed to them by ancient astronauts called the Nommo. He also knew of Saturn's rings and Jupiter's moons. Solid proof that Aliens had passed knowledge of the stars to ancient tribesmen. Or had they? 1893: 38 years before anthropologist Griaule begins his study of the Dogon people, a group of astronomers - also French - spend five weeks living with the Dogon people and to observe a solar eclipse. It's likely that modern western information about the stars and Sirius was told to the Dogon people at this point and became embedded in their traditions ready for the anthropologists to rediscover decades later. None of the 1946 anthropologists made any claim for alien visitations. 1976: 30 years after the wiseman's claims to Griaule, the mystery comes to public attention in Robert Temple's popular book The Sirius Mystery. Temple preferred the idea of alien contact to explain the Dogon's knowledge but even he did not rule out more rational possibilities. Did ancient aliens visit Mesolithic man? Are scientists easily duped? Comments below - and keep watching the stars... Adios. ---------------------- Copyright Attributions We strive to produce our own content for our videos.
